¡á The Big Idea
The
Internet is just the beginning of the Information Age, the gateway to the new
Human economy. Brand Storm explores the future of business in a very meaningful,
hopeful, creative, and visual way. This is a business book that reads like a
life plan. Divided into three main parts: Ideas, Actions, and Dreams, Brand
Storm aims to inspire, to reach out and touch our emotions as well as our
reason. Brands, dreams, and values should be integrated into your life so you
live and breathe customers. People should be at the heart of every thing you do.
Boring old companies that do not recognize the power of their customers are
dinosaurs and will meet their inevitable extinction. The communication and
technology we have today democratize the economy into "one vote, one voice" per
consumer. These are just the baby steps toward a future where the brand becomes
very personal. Any betrayal of a customers trust means she will have her
revenge. Heed the Brand Storm message and be warned.
¡á About the
Author
Will Murray began his career in retailing before moving into
the communications market with British Telecom, where he was latterly head of
business marketing. Will then moved to become Marketing Director for management
consultants Ernst and Young, before consulting with a range of exciting creative
companies like Londons The Fourth Room.
Throughout his career, Will has worked amongst creative stars, ambitious young graduates and consummate business professionals, all of whom use brilliant ideas to vie for attention. It is this experience that he uses as the foundation of Hey You
Wills wide experience of both the corporate sphere and the more avant-garde side of strategic agencies have equipped him with some unique skills and perspectives.
As Head of Business Marketing for BT he challenged the norm and changed the way they did business, creating one of the most competitive sales and service teams in one of the fastest moving markets in the world. In true Will style, he did not let up as he moved on to Ernst and Young where he took on the challenge of transforming a firm accustomed to traditional recurring business to one competing daily for non-traditional new business where the individual partners had personify the firms brand.
Finally, before founding Team Murray, Will was a ¡®Pathfinder with the Fourth Room, a UK based strategic marketing consultancy.
F.T. Prentice Hall published Wills first book, Brand Storm - a new way of looking at customers, the marketing mix and brand definitions, earlier this year and Hey You! - Mastering Explosive Thinking was recently launched as part of the Momentum/Pearson Education series.
Although Wills kids have him wrapped around their little fingers, he will not treat you with the same gentleness! If you expect an easy time, forget it. He takes a boardroom and shakes it to its core, not content with skirting around deep-set corporate politics he will strip things down to bare values and principles, inspiring people to instigate change.
Will is an inspired public speaker with an
original delivery style.
