¡á The Big
Idea
A great number of
people today venture into real estate the way millions of people flocked to the
gold rush at the beginning of the century. We¡¯ve seen and heard how many of them
dramatically made millions, even billions, after some time. Interestingly
enough, we¡¯ve also seen and heard about how some of them emerged from the
business, broke and practically wiped-out. It was inevitable that hearts would
go out to those unfortunate souls. The question remains, ¡°What went
wrong?¡±
This inspiring new book is for all those who have dreamed of becoming a pro in real estate and make millions. This book is also for those people who merely wish to do something profitable and worthwhile during their spare time. Based on the ideas and techniques gathered in real estate investing, and conducting seminars, authors Mike Summey and Roger Dawson offer step-by-step, doable, and practical guidance on how not to become a hapless victim in the game of real estate investing. No matter what age group or class would-be investors belong to, Summey and Dawson believe that with right knowledge and the right attitude, it is never too late to get started on the way to becoming the next weekend millionaire and eventually achieve financial freedom.
¡á About the
Author
Mike
Summey is an entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word. From a
humble upbringing in the poverty-stricken coalfields of SouthernWest Virginia,
he struck out to make his fortune at the tender age of 15. With little education
and no money, he stumbled his way through several menial jobs. In 1967, at age
21, after being laid off from his factory job and given $300 in severance pay;
he paused to contemplate his future.
He invested the $300 severance pay in an old van and started a small sign shop that he eventually built into a billboard company with offices in two states. Among his many accomplishments in the outdoor advertising field, he invented and patented the single pole construction used throughout the world today and designed the first fully integrated computer software for the industry. However, it was advice from his accountant in the late 1970s, that started him down the path that led to his writing TheWeekend Millionaires Secrets to Investing In Real Estate.
Roger Dawson was born in England and came to this country in 1962. He became a US citizen in 1972. His business background includes being president of one of Californias largest real estate companies, with 28 offices, 540 sales associates, and a sales volume of over $400 million per year.
As a full time speaker since 1982, he has trained managers and salespeople at the top companies and business associations throughout the world. He was inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame in 1991. Roger is the author of Secrets of Power Negotiating and founder of the Power Negotiating Institute. He is full time speaker and author and travels around the world giving seminars to corporations and associations.
